Everything you need to know about our boiling water taps, from installation and running costs to filters, guarantees and after-sales support.
The tap is connected to an electric-powered boiler tank, typically fitted in the cupboard below your kitchen sink. The tank takes cold water from your existing kitchen feed and heats it to your chosen temperature, ready on demand. When you want boiling water, simply turn the handle and it is dispensed instantly. Your normal hot water feed continues to work exactly as before, supplied from your main household hot water tank or boiler.
Our taps deliver 98°C boiling water and 4°C chilled water, both stored in the tank and available instantly. Using the easy control settings, you can adjust the boiling temperature across five settings ranging from 75°C to 98°C. Most instant hot water taps top out at 98 to 99°C, and this is by design. Different teas brew best at different temperatures, and water at a full 100°C will burn delicate leaves and scald coffee beans, leaving a bitter taste.
Boiling water taps replace your kettle entirely. They are ideal for any hot drink, brewing tea and coffee, cooking pasta, blanching vegetables, or even filling a bucket to clean the floor.
The 2.4 litre tank delivers 5 to 6 cups of boiling water before reheating. The 4 litre tank delivers over 10 cups at a time, which makes light work of tea rounds when friends and family are over.
If only one cup is drawn, the tank returns to maximum temperature in under a minute. If the entire tank is emptied, reheating takes around 4 minutes. From cold or after being switched off, allow 7 to 8 minutes. The starting temperature of your mains water will affect reheat times.
We recommend leaving it on. Heating water from cold costs more than keeping the insulated tank at temperature, and the system is designed to run continuously so boiling water is always ready. The only times we suggest turning the tank off and draining it are if it will be exposed to freezing temperatures, or if you are away for longer than 7 to 10 days.
We will work quickly to ship your order as soon as possible. Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email with further information. Delivery times vary depending on your location.
A 5 in 1 tap, also known as a sparkling tap, or a filtered boiling water tap with sparkling and chilled, is a tap that comes with 5 water types as standard. They are regular hot, filtered cold, filtered boiling, filtered chilled, and filtered sparkling. They also come with a pull out hose for extended reach.
Yes, even in homes with young children. There are three key reasons:
Our mechanical model, Orion, uses a mechanical safety button on the handle that must be pressed before boiling water can be drawn, preventing accidental or curious use by children. Our digital models, Lyra and Aquila, use Digital Touch technology requiring a deliberate three second press to activate boiling mode.
We stock six finishes: chrome, brushed nickel, gunmetal, brushed gold, copper bronze and matt black. Unlike rivals such as Quooker, who charge a premium for anything beyond chrome, every Next Level finish is the same price. Every tap is made from premium stainless steel.
Every Next Level tap comes with a five year warranty as standard for taps, four years as standard for boilers and we include free replacement filters for the full duration of the boiler warranty. We are the only brand in the industry to do this.

Yes, a competent DIY person comfortable with simple plumbing can install a Next Level tap. If you have any uncertainty, we recommend hiring a professional plumber. Before you start, check:
A screwdriver, an adjustable wrench and a pair of pliers. If your existing tap is difficult to remove, you may also need a basin wrench. If your power socket sits in an adjacent cupboard, you may need to drill a small hole to feed the cable through.
No. The unit comes complete with all fittings and pipes required. If they are not already in place, you may want to fit isolating valves on the hot and cold feeds to your kitchen sink.
No, provided there is an accessible socket within reach of the cable. It is a plug-and-fit system. If you need an extension cable, these are available from any DIY or electrical retailer.
We estimate filters need replacing every six months. The tank includes patented technology that measures water passing through it, and an indicator will turn red when a replacement is due. As long as you are within your four year warranty, your replacement filters are free.
Very. Turn the water feed off, twist and remove the outer casing, unscrew the filter head, and the cartridge lifts out freely. Fit the new one in reverse order.
